Who Were This Year’s Fashion Partners?

Earlier in the spring, Dress for Success hosted our gala event, Celebrate Success. It’s a fundraiser that shines a light on the accomplishments of the women who go through Dress for Success’s programs, and every year, we have the support of so many people.
Today, we’d like to highlight our fashion partners. Our fashion partners help make our event successful — and trendy! Learn more about them below:

As a socially conscious company, EILEEN FISHER is a pioneer in eco-friendly fashion and in supporting global initiatives that empower women and girls. What sets your company apart?
As a socially conscious company, EILEEN FISHER is a pioneer in eco-friendly fashion and in supporting global initiatives that empower women and girls. To help continue on this path, last year, we launched VISION2020, a 5-year plan for us to reach 100% sustainability. This year, we were certified a B-Corp, the largest Women¹s Fashion company to achieve tis certification.
As a company we ask ourselves, How long will this style last? Is the fabric sustainable? Does it cost too much? Will it sell? It’s this constant balance between making things work for the business, the customer and the environment. We think of “business as a movement,” and that it can be used for positive change.
What would you want someone to know who has never heard of you, or never shopped with you before?
Our clothes are timeless and designed to feel like an extension of yourself. Our System pieces are meant to go with anything and everything. They’re the pieces that make getting dressed easy (we like to say in 5 minutes) that each season you¹ll wear over and over. These pieces are great additions to the base of any capsule wardrobe.

  1. A few days ago i attempted to drop off a fairly large donation of formal dresses and some other tops etc.
since I had only been there once before, I called when I thought I was close. I indicated there was no parking and so the person on the phone told me I would have to park in the motel Parkins big across the street and carry my donation across the street. I am seventy two years old and not about to do that. As luck would have it, a parking space cleared and I went on to ask for help. They brought out a cart. I traveled about 20 miles each way to drop off these donations. After that experience I will not be going back.

  2. Ms. Van Loo, I am a supporter of Dress for Success and don’t work directly at their business. It was so wonderful of you to make your gracious, very appreciated donations of clothing for the women in our area. Please remember that Dress for Success runs off the kindness and generosity of people just like yourself and that they themselves have restrictions in what they can do. Parking is a tough nut for all of us in the region. I guess what I’m saying is please realize the folks at Dress for Success did the best they could and came out to help you with within their constraints of a business day in operation. Please reconsider your thoughts for future donations to this wonderful business that helps so many women in our area to get started and simply call to make arrangements with staff ahead of time for a convenient to all drop off situation. I hope everyone can remember we’re all trying our best and if we all give a little, everyone gains a lot. Ms. Van Loo, thank you again for you donations to Dress for Success on behalf every one they in turn will help with your generously.
